Oktoberfest in the Poconos
Saturday, October 3 | 1PM–8PM
Pint Size Park at Barley Creek Brewing Company
Grab your stein, gather your crew, and get ready to PROST! Oktoberfest is taking over Pint Size Park in Tannersville, PA on Saturday, October 3, and we're bringing all the beer-soaked, pretzel-filled, lederhosen-loving fun you could possibly fit into one afternoon. From 1PM–8PM, Pint Size Park will transform into your own little corner of Oktoberfest, complete with German food and drink specials, live music, games, contests, and plenty of opportunities to show off skills you probably didn't know you had.
Basically, if you've ever thought, "You know what this beer needs? A competitive pretzel-throwing contest," this is your day.

German Food, Cold Beer & Plenty of Prosting
What's Oktoberfest without great food and beer? Come hungry and thirsty because we'll be serving up German-inspired food and drink specials designed to pair perfectly with a cold Barley Creek beer. Think hearty flavors, salty pretzels, and beverages worthy of a proper Prost! And yes, you're encouraged to raise your stein. Frequently.

Live Music All Afternoon
We'll keep the Oktoberfest energy going with live music throughout the event, plus German music playing between bands to keep the party moving. Whether you're here for the music, the food, the beer, or simply the excuse to wear lederhosen in public, there's going to be a soundtrack for it.
Ready to Compete? We've Got Contests.
Oktoberfest isn't just about drinking beer. It's about proving completely unnecessary things to your friends.
Steinholding Contest
Think you've got the strength, stamina, and questionable decision-making required to become a Steinholding Champion?
Put your arm to the test in our Steinholding Contest, which is part of the Pennsylvania Steinholding Championship series.
$20 to enter — includes your stein and beer.
There will be two opportunities to compete:

3:30PM — Fun Heat
4PM — Bragging Rights Qualifying Heat
Qualifying competitors can advance toward the ArtsQuest Oktoberfest State Championship Finals at SteelStacks in Bethlehem on October 10, 2026.
And the stakes get even higher from there: Pennsylvania champions will have the opportunity to represent the state at the U.S. Steinholding Association National Championship in Cincinnati, where competitors will battle it out for a $4,000 cash prize. So maybe start working on those biceps now.
Hammershlaggen
Because apparently holding a beer for an extended period of time wasn't competitive enough. Test your skills at Hammershlaggen, one of those games that looks simple until you're actually standing there trying to prove yourself in front of your friends.

Pretzel Throwing Contest
Yes. We're throwing pretzels
No. We don't recommend trying this at home.
Come see who has the best pretzel-throwing arm and who should probably stick to eating them.
Fun for the Little Festers, Too
Looking for family-friendly Oktoberfest events in the Poconos? Oktoberfest isn't just for the adults! Bring the whole crew to Oktoberfest at Barley Creek in the Pocono Mountains for an afternoon of German food, live music, craft beer, games, and fun for all ages.
The little festers can burn off some energy in our bounce house, while parents enjoy the food, music, and Oktoberfest merriment. It's the perfect way to enjoy a family-friendly fall event in the Poconos and celebrate the season together at Pint Size Park. It's an afternoon built for groups, families, friends, and anyone who believes every good festival should involve a giant pretzel and a stein.
