We were pumped to welcome PA Governor Josh Shapiro and his team to Barley Creek this week as part of the launch events for the new PA tourism brand - Pennsylvania: The Great American Getaway. The Governor and his fam are going on an epic road trip to promote the brand, hitting up 50 stops in 14 PA counties over the next week. They unveiled the new brand at the Railriders' field in Moosic earlier in the day, then it was off to Barley Creek, where they toured our brewery, distillery, and restaurant. One of the highlights was watching the Governor face off against Trip on the wiffleball field, then hop into our new Airstream "B"Argosy mobile bar to check it out.
The Governor said, "They are doing an amazing job here at Barley Creek... First off, they're sustainable. They're creating delicious products right here in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It's an amazing place both indoor and out to just hang out and congregate." Check out a clip of the visit here.
Tourism is big biz in PA, bringing in more than $76 billion in revenue and supporting more than 486,000 jobs. Barley Creek is proud to be a part of the engine that helps drive Pennsylvania.
