It’s going to snow at Barley Creek this Sunday!

Winter is coming. Mady’s Snow Day blows into the Pint Size Park this Sunday, August 5. There will be rides, games, food, brews, trampolines, mechanical bulls, magic shows, face painting, and live music from some awesome bands, including Christian Porter, the SC Project and the Maybabies. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Check out the full line-up above. And, just for fun, here are a few weird facts about snow:

June 6, 1816 – It actually snowed in Northeast PA, thanks to an Indonesian volcano eruption that messed with global temps.

In 1992, Syracuse tried to outlaw snow. Mother Nature just laughed and gave them the cold shoulder… and then more snow.

Every winter in the US, at least a septillion snow crystals fall from the sky. That’s one, with 24 zeroes following.

Silver Lake, Colorado has the record for most snow in a day – almost 76 inches. On the other hand, it has never snowed in Key West, Florida. How boring!

The very best snow of the year falls every August at Barley Creek’s Pint Size Park. Don’t miss the 8th Annual Mady’s Snow Day!
